@rachitmagon We not only look at other retailer price histories, we also report what other users have seen the price for in the past, reported via comments or forums and built a database of reported deals that we use to determine what is truly a sweet deal. Just knowing the price history by itself doesn't really matter if users have found promotions regionally that reduced the price beyond what the retailer is showing.
