Hey Product Hunt family!!!
We're the team behind Dola AI serving almost 3 million users. This time we are presenting Syft AI! We are a group of productivity hackers, news junkies, tech nerds, and lifelong learners who grew tired of the "one-size-fits-none" approach of traditional news apps.
Why do we build Syft?
As heavy news consumers ourselves, we kept hitting the same walls:
1. Worst pain: Locked into pre-set topics and categories
Why can't I track "robotics startups news around the world, only tech breakthroughs and fundraising news" for my news feed? Or get updates on "the crazy user growth successes happening around the world"? This is why professionals waste 1.5 hours a day checking 10+ news tabs.
2. Second pain: Unfiltered, bad, scattered sources
Today's news is a giant spam folder. There are good ones, but algorithm pushes what's viewed the most - clickbaits go to the top. You think: Clickbaits again? Repeat News? Another fake news? Is this local story made up again by AI?
It's imposible to get a full picture of a topic. Especially covering local news from all over the world. Wherever you go, it's just US media coverage losing local context in translation, or worse, translated truths with biases. When you want to read local news with google translation? It's 20 tabs of work.
3. Still pain: Wasting time on duplicates & recycled stories
Well most of us are stockholders of at least 1 stock, and god when I read the same APPL news across 12 articles repeating each other, with a tiny bit of extra input.
How we're tackling these problems (so far):
📰 Solution 1: Self-Define your topics, track updates automatically
A VC user wanted to track "Gen-AI, semiconductor, robotics, start-up news in silicon valley" - no app allowed that mix. With Syft, he typed it in. Now, it's his morning digest. You create your unique news feeds.
I (a growth professional, start-up founding team user) personally subscribe to 16 "user growth news" topics for 16 different 2C products I learn from, and each channel gathers reliable articles from 8-20 unique sources relevant & reliable to that particular topic - here comes the second breakthrough Syft brings:
🌎 Solution 2: Trusted global sources from all perspectives
Our user who is a head of research on Wall Street, subscribes to the topic "What influences are Trump tariff policy creating? I want local news from countries Trump tariff affects such as Canada, China, etc."
He loves the source reliability, efficiency boosting summaries, the original truths, the different perspectives, and the untwisted local news of the same event.
And the reason behind is Syft curates reliable and high authority news specific to each topic & its relevant areas - it also means relevant local news around the world. Many users struggled to find balanced coverage and true voices from different local sources until using Syft.
✂️ Solution 3: AI-powered story deduplication & summarization to save your time
Another developer user investing in Nvidia stock tracks "all reasons why Nvidia stock price fluctuates" just because trading apps bombard him with repeating news. And now half our team follows that channel.
Syft's engine stitches key updates into one takeaway - like a friend saying, "Hey, you know what's new today." You can choose when to get the push notifications alert for different channels too. Can't believe this is now his bedtime story.
We're inviting you to shape what's next:
For product hunt community: Syft is now giving away 10 news channels for 0 cost where you can literally create any topics you want to follow their updates.
Got a product-specific topic? A niche passion? A controversial concern? Type it in - we'll hunt the news, you reclaim your time.
Oh! Want more free news channels?
We even have more quota granting our angel users who help us improve. If you are a heavy news user and want more customized channels, just fill out this poll: https://forms.gle/RJHtQDf3dMjQ4rs16
Question for you: What are your specific/unique topics you'd track or frequently search? What sources you want us to integrate next? (Our co-founder subscribes to the topic "SAAS pricing models news worldwide").
🎁 Show Don't Tell. Use cases and more - Here's Today's Steals from some awesome founders:

@sophiaatdola Alright, Syft AI has my attention. This is something i've genuinely needed. My current 'system' for tracking specific tech news is a chaotic mess of bookmarks, alerts, and way too many open tabs. It's... not efficient. lol. Being able to define super granular topics like 'breakthroughs in edge computing for IoT' or 'Series A funding for AI-driven cybersecurity in Europe' instead of wading through generic tech blogs? Yes, please. That's a real time saver. The deduplication part sounds great too. Tired of seeing the same story repackaged everywhere. Solid concept. Congrats on the launch, team! Will be playing around with this. (b^\_^)b
Syft AI
@sophiaatdola @stainlu Hi Stain, thank you for your interest! We have the same pain as you do, everyday in our news collection and consumption, and that's why we started this product. You may want to try our "Add Channel" function (the '+' button) to see if there comes something works for you (here below is my try).
Please let us know if you're satisfied with the content quality or not (e.g. information source, false information, reading efficiency, freshness, tonality, etc.)! Our product still has a long way to go, and we're eager to learn any feedback. Thank you
@sophiaatdola Keep up the good work!
Happycapy
@sophiaatdola Congrats, Syft AI team! 🎉 I can totally relate to the frustration of wading through duplicate news and clickbait. Having a custom morning digest that cuts through the noise sounds like a dream come true.
Also, props to you for tackling the issue of scattered sources and local news context, it's about time someone did! Excited to see how this evolves and can’t wait to integrate it into my morning routine! Keep up the fantastic work! 🚀
Happycapy
@sophiaatdola Sounds amazing!! Let’s be real, the whole issue with clickbait and recycled stories? Ugh, it’s like a time-suck vortex.. It’s refreshing to see a solution that prioritizes relevant content over noise. I’m definitely looking forward to curating my own unique news feed with Syft.
@sophiaatdola Hi, it's a great news collection and reading app, and now it's my breakfast every morning. hahahah
1Stroke
Just downloaded it, awesome app, and big kudos on the launch! It already works great as a news tracker. Are you still considering support for arbitrary sources in the future?

Graphify
Congrats and I like this idea, especially the part about the better sources and getting a better picture. I am wondering, how do you differentiate between good and bad sources?
Syft AI
@hussein_r We're using a human+AI scoring system to review multiple aspects of every info source we use (e.g. authority, accuracy, freshness, etc.).
Surgeflow
🎉 Huge congrats on the Syft AI launch! Love how you’re tackling info overload with ninja-level precision 🔍—personalized feeds, multilingual summaries, and killing clickbait? Genius! As a Dola fan (3M users—wow!), I’m pumped to see your team innovate again.
Quick suggestion: Add a “deep dive” filter for niche topics (e.g., only Lenny’s Newsletter insights on Duolingo).
Also, 👀 We're building a no-code Agent Builder platform, Tate-A-Tate, Two spicy ideas:
1️⃣ Syft Agent Pro™: Let’s co-build a premium Agent for Tate’s marketplace. Users subscribe via Stripe (already integrated!) for hyper-curated news pushes. Think “$9.99/month for Duolingo growth hacks + Lenny’s takes”. Cha-ching! 💸
2️⃣ Syft API Skill Pack: Drop your API into our Skill Store. Agent builders could plug Syft into their workflows (e.g., “Stock Alert Agent + Syft News”). You set the API price, we handle distribution.
DM to nerd out – let’s turn Syft into EVERY Agent’s secret weapon! 🚀

@rocsheh Hahahahha thank you Zepeng for the hardcore Ads on Tate-A-Tate hahahahha! Let me think about it!
Ohhhh and, what's important to you lately that you wanna follow? Anything specific?
@sophiaatdola @Syft AI @simonwand @jamieg @shawn_dean Great launch, Syft team! Love how you let users create custom news feeds and filter out clickbait. The global perspective and AI-powered summaries are super helpful.
question: How will you keep source quality high as you add more niche or local topics?
Excited to see Syft grow! 🚀
Syft AI
@domenic_yang Hi Domenic, thank you for asking. We do spend quite a lot of efforts in the source quality, since its the foundation of everything. Although I can't give too many details in this part, in simple words, we have a continuous content quality scoring system mixing human labor and AI capabilities to screen for the reliable sources. This may hit the wall when the topic goes very niche, but so far it looks good. We will keep exploring.
Super cool - have you thought about pulling in news based on what's being talked about on social media vs like what's published on traditional news sites?
Syft AI
@derek_jouppi1 Oh we love this idea! Talks on social media will be a super valuable and interesting enrichment to the reading. We're exploring this area right now. The challenge mainly comes from the scattered nature of social buzz, but we have the confidence to solve it. We'll keep everyone updated, and greatly appreciate if you'd like to share more thoughts/suggestions with us!
@y001_yp I'm actually the founder of a social monitoring API startup that does exactly this - people prompt us "find me ____", and we build filters & return just the matching content but on social media. We should chat!

This must be the only way to find the real truth in a sea of AI generated trash.
Good luck :)
