T_kens: Collect tokens and revisit your favorite memories

Hey everyone 👋 I am Fran, one of the designers of T_kens. We are super excited to share this with you 😊 T_kens were created to make it more fun and interesting to relish in nostalgia and revisit your favorite memories and museums. They were inspired by the tokens in Connect Four, by Pokémon coins, and by all the small chips and souvenirs we collected as children. These were so fun to play around with and feel in your hands! All of us in the original team had stories of lying down in bed and looking through photos on our devices just to think back to the fun times at parties 🎉 , vacations 🌴, and so on (especially during Covid times!). Many of us even moved with physical photo albums, posters, souvenirs, and picture frames just to carry those memories with us. And all of us are guilty of taking flyers from really exciting museum exhibitions with us only to throw them away a couple of days later. So we wanted to combine the feeling of having something physical and real that connects to your memories and the mobility and accessibility of digital photo albums. And now that so many museums are closed or closing, we wanted to have something to connect us to these inspiring places while supporting them along the way. @fgrgic I like the visual aesthetic, but how would it work exactly? Does it have some sort of NFC inside? What happens when I scan it?

@mihovil_ilakovac Thank you! Tokens are NFC-enabled and are connected to your memories from museums you visited. The companion app reads information from the token and displays photos in the companion app.
