Love this idea, especially the screen-free angle for bedtime. One thing that would make it a no-brainer for our family is a sibling mode where two or three kids can each get their own illustrated version in the same book, switching off as the hero on alternating pages. Would save us from the nightly fight over who gets to be the main character.
Love the photo-once approach, my niece would lose her mind seeing herself in her favorite stories. One thing that would seal the deal for us though, a quick "swap hero" button so grandparents can order books with their grandkids as the star without messing up our saved profile.
