Typing on phones hasn’t evolved. Tapfree fixes that. Tapfree is a voice-first Android keyboard that lets you write messages, notes, and emails by speaking naturally - without dictation errors, awkward formatting, or constant corrections. It understands context, not just words.

Crazy idea. I am tired of the weird suggestions from my keyboard and making the same miskates while typing.

@aashishk404 Yep! That exact frustration is why I built Tapfree.
Keyboards keep guessing wrong and make you fix the same mistakes over and over. Tapfree focuses on understanding corrections and intent so the keyboard adapts to you, not the other way around!
I have been using Wispr Flow. What's the difference? Do you have any plan to come up with an iOS version?
Tapfree
@bob_wheel Great question Bob! Wispr Flow is doing interesting work in voice-first writing. The key difference is that Tapfree is built as a full mobile keyboard, not just a dictation layer. On mobile, writing tends to be shorter, faster, and more fragmented. Quick replies, mid-sentence corrections, switching between typing and speaking requires different handling than desktop-style voice tools.
Tapfree is designed specifically for that mobile dynamic: tight integration between voice and manual typing, context from the active screen, and real-time correction handling.
Strategically, I'm focusing first on Android because mobile dictation has been relatively underserved there. iOS is definitely on the roadmap, but the priority right now is nailing the mobile keyboard experience before expanding platforms.
@mansehej Sounds like a solid plan. Will follow your journey and wait for the IOS version coming out.

@bob_wheel Thank you! Appreciate the support.
Is it possible to support Polish language?
Tapfree
@isegoria Hi Helena, yes! It's on it's way. Should be released tomorrow.
@mansehej Thank you very much!

@isegoria Polish support is live! Would love your feedback about how it works for you

How many languages are supported?
Tapfree
@busmark_w_nika We've launched with support for the 15 most commonly used languages. We already support many more internally, and plan to roll them out gradually based on demand and feedback. Is there a specific language you were looking for?

@mansehej My native – Slovak :)
Tapfree
@busmark_w_nika Thank you! Slovak isn’t enabled yet in the public build, but it’s one I can add quite easily.
If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to prioritize Slovak support and let you know as soon as it’s live. Your feedback would be super helpful in shaping it!
PS - Big fan of Minimalist Phone. Been using it as my daily driver and really appreciate the focus-first philosophy

@busmark_w_nika Just added Slovak support! Would love for you to give it a try and let me know how it feels!

One thing I didn’t fully appreciate before building Tapfree is how different mobile dictation is from desktop.
On phones, people speak in short bursts, interrupt themselves, and switch apps constantly. This breaks a lot of desktop-first dictation approaches.
Curious how others here use dictation on mobile today. Quick replies, longer messages, or something else?
Dictating this using Tapfree. Great implementation; will test it more and let you know.

@piyush_gupta25 Thanks, Piyush! Looking forward to your feedback once you’ve had a chance to test it more.
Congrats on the launch! And on the product as well. As an Android user, I’ll install it later today and give it a proper test!

@byalexai Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! Would love to hear your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to try it.
