Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm Asharib, and I'm beyond excited to finally launch TaskAI today!
The problem I was trying to solve:
I got tired of switching between typing commands in rigid task apps and wishing I could just talk to my to-do list like I talk to ChatGPT. Why couldn't I just say "remind me to submit the report by Friday" and have it actually work?
So I built TaskAI β a task manager that speaks human.
What makes it different:
π€ Dual Interface β Switch between a conversational AI, and a traditional task UI. Same data, two ways to interact.
π¬ 18 Natural Language Commands β Say things like:
"Add a high priority task for the client meeting tomorrow"
"Show me all overdue tasks tagged 'work'"
"Set up a recurring weekly standup reminder"
β‘ Production-Ready Architecture β Built with FastAPI, Next.js, Kafka, Kubernetes & Dapr. It's not a weekend project β it's infrastructure you can trust.
π Event-Driven Microservices β Automatic recurring tasks, reminders, and real-time sync across devices.
Tech stack for the nerds (like me):
Backend: FastAPI + PostgreSQL + MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Frontend: Next.js 16 + TypeScript + Tailwind + Shadcn/ui
Infra: Kubernetes + Kafka + Dapr + OpenTelemetry
π Special for PH community:
TaskAI is 100% open source under MIT license. Clone it, fork it, learn from it, or deploy your own instance!
I'd love your feedback on:
Which AI commands would you want to see added?
Would you prefer voice input for the chat interface?
Any UX improvements that would make you switch from your current task app?
Building in public has been a journey, and I'm grateful to share it with this community.
Every upvote, comment, and piece of feedback means the world! π

Congrats on the launch
Quick question, how are you thinking about building trust and reviews for new user after today?
right after launch, the focus is on tight feedback loops. early users get direct support, I actively collect their feedback, and turn successful use cases into public testimonials.
