I believe the product is underestimated cause the solution offered does not require a subscription, which is especially valuable for teams with small budgets. Also, working in the “health” sector, it's very useful to understand that Telebugs maintains high requirements to the security of user data, which was one of the significant factors in favor of its choice. And the third point I'd like to emphasize the speed of detection, as it is true that mistakes made during development discourage users from using the app, and there's a lot to be said about the importance of retaining them. Obviously well done
Telebugs
@kyrylosilin Is there any chance it will require ongoing subscription further? it happens sometimes
Telebugs
@margo_milioni nope, that's impossible. You get the source code of the whole system and own it for life.
@kyrylosilin my concern is how secure is the data collected by the tool?
Telebugs
@mila_chong it is secure since it's on your server. You're still responsible for setting up firewall rules, etc, though
Telebugs
@divyansh_tiwari7 AI comment, but still thanks!
HeyForm
Congrats on the launch, Kyrylo! I'm a fan of self-hosting and currently use Glitchtip for error tracking. I'm curious, what advantages does Telebugs offer over Glitchtip?
Telebugs
@luobaishun Thanks, Luo!
They’re similar in philosophy, but fundamentally different. GlitchTip feels a bit too feature-packed, while Telebugs is laser-focused on error tracking.
Telebugs is much easier to install. Literally just run one command and you’ll have a fully working system in 5 minutes. You’ve probably never had that kind of experience with self-hosted software before.
With GlitchTip, you have to dig through their docs to figure things out.
Telebugs supports push notifications and works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). GlitchTip doesn’t. The UI in Telebugs is more polished and constantly improving. As far as I know, GlitchTip hasn’t seen updates in years (though I’ve never been a user myself).
GlitchTip charges $15/user/month for premium support, while Telebugs includes premium and enterprise support by default.
Telebugs is also a younger project with a fresh vision. I’ve worked at Sentry competitors for nearly a decade. This is my home turf.
I have a lot of updates planned.
And if you're curious, just let me know - I can set you up with a private demo so you and your team can try out Telebugs at your own pace.
Cool product! Love the mobile monitoring bit. Curious to hear how you're planning to get In-front of your target market? (my market is finding dev's also)
Telebugs
@yakuraapp thanks, Lou! I build in public and I'm active online in general (talking to devs, writing blog posts, etc). I find them by being with them
Sounds cool, how do you handle the infrastructure? / How do you recommend users to handle their hosting infrastructures?
Telebugs
@techtim42 I don’t handle it. It’s a self-hosted product. You’ll need your own server to run it (VPS, home server, cloud, etc).
Documentation.AI
@kyrylosilinGreat Work!
I’m curious—how does it handle scalability for larger projects, especially with the self-hosted setup
Telebugs
@roopreddy thanks Roop! Here's a breakdown:
Basically, you can process millions of errors even on a $5 VPS.
The more errors you send, the more powerful your server needs to be.
