🤔 Why did we build this?
Ever tried explaining to your mom how to download and use a new AI app? Yeah... that's why we built text.ai.
I built the first version just for fun, a personal travel companion for when I was hunting for hidden veggie restaurants on my first solo trip to Spain & Portugal (I'm vegetarian) and had no internet. It was ridiculously simple but solved a real problem for me.
Then something unexpected happened. Friends started begging to add our AI to their group chats. They used it to plan Vegas trips, settle restaurant debates, and even as a digital wingman for date nights.
The magic? No one had to download a thing. AI just showed up where they already were. In their messages.
Now we're obsessed with one mission: making AI accessible to everyone.

Founded by myself ( @rushishah , ex-Tesla Product Lead), @praharpatel (Ex-Walmart Labs, Eventbrite, Opentable, ML Eng), and @maniar (ex-Gannett Media, McKinsey).
We're three friends who've been building products together since college. We're building text.ai because we've experienced firsthand how technology that's meant to connect people often ends up creating more friction instead. We believe AI should fit into your life, not the other way around.

You’re solving a real pain point: people don’t want more apps to manage, they want seamless solutions in their existing tools. That’s the exact friction many SaaS founders miss when designing their landing pages: they add complexity instead of simplicity.
As a homepage optimization expert, I can tell you that this is a classic example of how a homepage can resonate with users’ needs. When people land on a page, they want immediate answers to:

What’s in it for me?
How do I get started easily?
For SaaS founders, failing to address these questions upfront often leads to high bounce rates. But you’re already ahead by offering an instant solution without forcing users to download anything. That’s huge.
Here’s where I’d recommend focusing for an even better homepage conversion:
Headline clarity: “AI that lives where you already chat” is strong! But let’s go a bit further—add urgency or curiosity. Something like, “Instant AI in your messages. No app, no hassle.” The simpler, the better.
Address pain points directly: Right now, people hate having to download yet another app. They hate friction. Use this to your advantage by directly calling it out—maybe in the subheading: “Stop downloading. Start chatting smarter, right where you already communicate.”
Social proof: The stats you shared—600,000+ transactions, 5,400+ active users—are your secret weapons. People trust numbers and others’ success stories, so prominently feature these on the homepage. Show users what they’re missing!
Call-to-action (CTA): “Text directly or add to your group chats” works, but a more direct CTA like “Start Chatting Now” could lower hesitation and drive immediate action. People hate forms, so make it as frictionless as possible.
The magic of groups: The dilemma of “I’m okay with anything” in group chats is real. It's relatable. Bring that into your homepage copy with something like, “Tired of endless group debates? Let text.ai make the decision for you!”
One pain point I would tackle next is getting users to trust AI in everyday conversations. Consider using testimonials like, “This helped us plan our vacation without the usual 50-message chain!”

This is Awesome! Does text.ai support personalized knowledge bases? For instance would I be able to add the number to a group chat with my clients and they can ask the Bot questions typically reserved for me about my business and lastly can we connect Text.ai to custom Agents? For example, If a client asks for the latest stats from a campaign can your service communicate with my backend to retrieve the relevant data and deliver it via the text chat?
