@abadesi absolutely! I've always been a bit jealous of iMessage, and before I made Textto i used a similar app for Android. However, this app got to be too expensive so I set out to make my own. It's a year and a half later now and my primary inspiration for Textto is simply to add the features I would like as a user - like a dark theme and emoji searching! I've had a lot of fun building this app and am looking forward to adding more useful and fun features.

@alainpascalr Absolutely! All traffic to/from Textto servers is encrypted and served over https or wss. After signing in with Google on the website/Android app we are able to verify with Google that a user is who they say they are. We then issue an access token. All authorized requests are sent with this access token. They expire after approximately 3 minutes after which they must be reissued. The 'Manage Devices' button in the side bar of the website offers the option of remotely logging out of any authenticated devices you have a session with. In addition, another layer of security is in the works! After authenticating with Google, users will have the option to set an additional master password to encrypt/decrypt content on the client side.
