@jacqvon Hi Jacq! My favorite rappers right now are everybody else's favorite rappers right now: Drake, Young Thug, Future, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, and Chance the Rapper. As for other kinds of artists, I've been listening to stuff I used to be obsessed with as a teenager -- Green Day, Nirvana, the Smashing Pumpkins.
@lejlahunts If I understand the question correctly, I guess I would say that literature can be about anything! My mom, who grew up in the Soviet Union and is pretty culturally conservative, has trouble with the idea that a person can write "seriously" about pop culture. She makes very strict distinctions between "high" and "low" culture, but I don't think most young people in America really do at this point.
@russfrushtick I think the publication of the book has been a weird experience for Juice. It's not easy to have your life story told by somebody else, and for Juice especially, because he has been in control of pretty much everything that has had his name on it throughout his long career as a rapper, it's kind of jarring to have an outsider like me come in with my own hang-ups and preoccupations and offer my interpretation of what he's all about. There was an article in the Guardian today in which a reporter talked to Juice about his feelings on the book, which you can check out here: http://t.co/sbxtd8vuFY
