Hey Everyone! You may have heard about note taking as a productivity method. It is not only a productivity method, because it helps your brain think on the important things, but it is also a long term remembrance trick. You make notes to remember things. There are a lot of ways of making notes. you can just quickly type them down on a piece of paper or on your phone. you can even go to the lengths of creating complex systems with folders and stuff for organising your notes but what if you just needed a really simple system to analyse, organise, manage, reflect and store your notes. imaging if you had a sudden idea of making a youtube video on a topic you might have made notes on. you just open your simple system, scroll down to that topic and at a glance you could see all the notes associated with that topics according to their relevance. wouldn't that be awesome? a simple, yet effective way to organising and storing your notes without needing to store it in your brain Hashim Sultan this concept of storing information in other places than your brain is called the "second brain" concept proposed by Thiago Forte Storing notes topic wise in different areas is called the "slip box" method and it was used in the past by people like Niklas Luhmann While Luhmann wasn’t the first to use the system, he’s certainly one of the most prolific. from then on this technique of slip-box is known to be the best way of "smart" note taking After some research I compiled the second brain and Luhmann's method into one notion template.
