Absolutely love thingtesting. It's by far the smartest account on IG -- it's super refreshing to actually get some value out of my feed vs. the overly edited selfies that people post. Ok maybe I should look at what other accounts I follow..
But thingtesting FTW -- love what @gyllanderjenny is doing!
I've been following Thingtesting since near the beginning and, tbh, it's ridiculous this wasn't a thing before now. I've purchased a couple of products off the back of reviews and had a suggestion reviewed. Jenny is super knowledgable and open to chatting about the things!
Pros:
Beautifully designed, thoughtful and help reviews about products I want to hear about
Cons:
...there's only one Jenny?

The beautiful well curated content constantly blows me away. How can you make something this simple so great! I just wish there was now of it, luckily I don't think she'll run out of products to test.
Pros:
Excellent, beautiful and honest reviews from both sides of the table at once.
Cons:
None

Short product reviews and essays, made lots of new discoveries
Pros:
Visual, topical content on new products from tech to wellness
Cons:
Product reviews are most interesting for affluent urban lifestyles

Probably the most focused and no-bullshit product review page out there. Always combining a user and VC perspective leading to unique insights and thoughts about cool stuff out there. Really helps you straighten your thinking when evaluating new stuff and thinking about your own product. Useful as both a review and discovery platform. The design speaks for itself.
Overall really great approach from @gyllanderjenny
Looking forward to new reviews.
@david_boutellier1 thank you David, so kind of you! And you recommended one of the product I ended up reviewing; the Five Minute Journal - thanks for that! 😄
Unfortunately this is nothing more than just an account on Instagram and technically not a product... There are a couple dozen accounts like this out there and none of them are unique. However the idea has some merit and potential. Maybe over time you can grow it into a stand alone product. Good luck to you!
@alexwinkyface Thank you! Would love if you could share some of those accounts? I've found a few like Wirecutter and many in the beauty space, but nothing really focused on startups. Let me know if you have time to share :)

Absolutely brilliant approach to evaluation of B2C companies! I love the mix between the VC and personal perspective and how @gyllanderjenny lowers the barriers for how to understand the potential of the rising stars! Great job, can't wait for the next upload!!
