Thinksy is a Slack app that automatically summarizes your work across multiple integrations to make writing your performance review a breeze. Let your work speak for itself and stop spending hours compiling work you’ve already done!
Hey @calli_fuch congrats on the launch. I personally don't need to use slack but I see how this could be very useful. I would suggest supporting other platforms like telegram and whats app
Telegram has most number of monthly subscribers of any chat app in the world and telegram chat groups grow to thousands, these users would pay a lot for this service. And it's very easy to integrate plugins in telegram.
What's app is heavily used in India and most parts of world for business, it would be hard to get paying users from here, but you can increase your MAUs here
Slack imo is more b2b, so you should reach out to bigger companies

@patnishubh Thanks for the feedback and checking it out, Shubh!
You're spot on in that we're targeting b2b which is why Slack is our first integration :)
We want people to use Thinksy at work to help them with their performance reviews.
Nice! This kind of products could potentially save large amount human hour/money for medium and large companies! While integrating with slack is nice it would be more helpful to integrate with the JIRA, etc.

I tried the free version to summarize my Github commits, and it was GREAT! No more wading through months of old work spread across all sorts of projects. A concise summary on demand!

Any way to monitor quality contributions vs quantity?

@sentry_co Thanks for the question!
Honestly a lot of that is going to have to come fine tuning our prompting but we also make a point to not assess based on numbers.
Some things we look at:
- PR review comments (showing proof of helping others / areas of expertise)
- Bringing your team to consensus / decisions in Slack
- Execution, what are you actually releasing to users/customers and what is the impact
A lot of tools now just look at things like # of commits or lines changed 😬 We're hoping over time Thinksy becomes more and more holistic at reviewing an engineer.
@entreeden From my own experience. 20% of my contributions are the most impactful. And it's often the less visible and less flashy. Refactoring, research, code not written. Experiments not committed. It's hard to measure impact-fulness. If we tie promotion to work committed. You easily end up with the cobra effect. Dont get me wrong. I think you're working on the right problem. I just think like you mentioned. The holistic approach will be the feature that wins this space in the end.

@sentry_co Totally agree, I think the holistic view is hard to capture and why it hasn't been done right yet. We hope that this first iteration will get people started (make it easier to gather the info) and over time it becomes more and more accurate.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us feedback!

Congratulations on the launch 🧡
I have a question.
Why would a company admin or manager spend money on something that helps their teammates share reviews easily, potentially leading to higher costs?
The main focus should be on helping managers review their teammates, not individually helping them craft their reviews.

@gamifykaran Thank you for the support and feedback!
The hope is that managers will use this to help with reviewing their reports, as well as helping individual contributors be able to vouch for the work they've done.
This leads to more promotions, raises, and overall making it easier to retain the best talent at the company.
Report
@entreeden I meant to say your website copy (specially the hero section)) is selling value to the individuals but your paying customers is the managers!
