Hey everyone, my name is Sarah McBride and I am one of the makers behind Cross & Freckle. Alongside Tyler and Paul, I've been super fortunate to be immersed in the growing “synthetic media” scene here in NYC and as a team we wanted to dabble in some AI-generated media for ourselves. And, as Nick said, if software is eating the world, we may as well make cute t-shirts out of it! The doodles on the t-shirts are generated by AI, but are very much real t-shirts for real humans. They come in all colors from white to black. That is, they come in white and black. From the obsession over little puppers, to 1AM dollar slices, to morning commutes alongside subway rats and to making friends with pigeons, the Cross & Freckle t-shirt range represents life as we know it in NYC, with a little help from AI. On the science side, Paul, our esteemed engineer, trained a variational autoencoder (machine learning model) on Google Creative Lab's Quick, Draw! Dataset. He chose to use the model architecture from the Sketch RNN paper, and trained the model on NYC themed drawings. The output? Fun and fresh lifestyle t-shirts, that are sure to be a conversation-starter. Please do check out the t-shirts and read more into the science behind them over on our website. I honestly don’t understand. What’s the catch? Why would anyone pay $25.00 for that t-shirt? They wouldn’t. Which means I am missing something. And I feel like I’m going to be made fun of for missing the obvious

This is Awesome ... But what it really needs is user generation. I ask for "feet" or foot or rock music ... Or hmmmm jester ... Hendrix John Lee hooker And it goes away and then comes back with some designs (watermarked) ... I choose what I want (pay for design) or I can order it printed (pay for design and t-shirt) That literally means I can have an almsot unique design (pay extra if u want to get the design and then no one else can use it) And as it's AI and always searching ... I guess someone you can always come back and ask again and even have a new design with the same search terms! And you will build a data base for future designs for faster release

@pblankley and more than that, as there is no physical person making the design, and if u use something like www.kite.ly or equivalent ... Just think of the possibilities ... I mean I'm jealous, you could even do so much for social good by viral campaigns like a sustainable t-shirts with designs for a charity based themes like ice bucket Can you imagine every one with a t shirt that had been ai drawn on a theme like (no more) war child Sorry I am just getting carried away and excited and feeling stupid I don't know AI Lol ... I'm just gonna go away and do my little things now and SCREAM IN EXCITEMENT Everytime I thing of the possibilities you have (P.s. I do have an idea of collab suddenly. Chat?)
