TickerNotch launched today: live stock and crypto tickers, scrolling news and price alerts in the black bars beside the MacBook notch.
To celebrate, the first 10 people get a free month of Pro. Two steps to claim: drop a comment in this thread, then email john@bitvibelabs.com with your Product Hunt username and the word "launch". No card, no strings.
Two standing offers on top of that. Find a significant bug and I'll add at least a month of Pro to your license. Suggest a feature I end up building and same deal.
Grab the free version at bitvibelabs.com/tickernotch and try to break it.
John here, solo dev. TickerNotch puts live stock and crypto tickers, scrolling news and price alerts in the unused space beside the MacBook notch. Click a ticker for a candlestick chart; add a position and your live P&L stays in view. Native Swift, 6.5MB, signed, notarized by Apple. No account, and your data never touches my servers.
7-day full trial, no card, then free forever with some limitations. Pro is $5/mo or $40 lifetime. I'd love feedback on multi-display behavior and on the simulated island for notchless Macs. Find a significant bug and I'll add a month of Pro free.
A native Mac app that actually makes the notch useful, love it. One thing I'd want is the ability to pin a single ticker to replace the notch contents entirely when I'm only watching one name. Scrolling news and P&L are cool, but during earnings I'd rather see just price and after-hours action full width without distractions.
@ceylanm63067 That sounds like a great idea! Honestly, as an active trader myself it feels so useful that I'll implement it ASAP. The goal would be to get as close to a market terminal as possible, with the news side focused on that one stock, index or commodity: earnings for stocks, economic data for indices, and storage, supply, demand and weather data for commodities, surfaced as close to real time as I can get them.
Feel free to share more details on exactly how you picture it! And as a thank you for the idea, send me your email ( john@bitvibelabs.com works too) and I'll get you a free Pro code :)
