TinyFast is a macOS app that compresses PNG, JPEG, MP4, MOV, PDF, and GIF files locally. Just drag and drop your file in and out. It’s fast, private, and built for developers, designers, and creators who care about security and speed.
I got tired of uploading sensitive assets to random websites just to make them smaller. Especially when those files end up in apps used by millions. I wanted a faster, safer way to optimize images and videos without ever leaving my device. TinyFast does this

Hello, Quick question :) If it's a .png file, does resizing it keep the same quality as the original?
@ilyasse_ben At the moment it works automatically. If you set it under 50% compression it is lossless. if you set it over 50% it is lossy (converts to 8bit png) to get a smaller image. I might add more settings

@melvinzammit with more parameters, it would be even more customizable — that would be awesome!
@busmark_w_nika Hi Nika, there are many browser based options available. I built a macOS native App to have a faster experience & full control of privacy. It's my first time building a macOS app so very excited.
@melvinzammit Gotcha, tho I prefer usually to do these things online (because I do not want to download anything else), the private aspect makes perfect sense :)

This looks great! Any chance for WebP conversion? 🤞
@marco_visin terminal is great. Used it a couple of times for batch videos. This should be easier though and I can add features as I go along to further optimize the flow

I'm not installing an app to find out the pricing.

Been wanting a desktop tool similar to https://squoosh.app/ for some time. This fits the bill perfectly.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
Have you also been thinking about the online version in the browser?

Great idea. I’m still using the terminal for that, will give this app a try

@dreaded_369 I did it like this to keep pricing in once place, since it's currency dependent.

@dreaded_369 Your feedback makes sense. I actually added the price to the landing page in Euros. Thanks
