Geckoboard is built for a wall-mounted team TV or a shared web dashboard, which is overkill when it's just me checking numbers between tasks. TinyKPI living in the notch on my own machine is a much better fit for a single founder who wants a glance, not a full screen.
TinyKPI
Hi, Rida from TinyKPI here. Just to clarify for anyone reading this: you haven’t purchased TinyKPI, so you haven’t actually used the product. We’re still early and I’ve personally been in contact with every customer so far, and you’re not one of them.
The “con” mentioned here is also already supported, you can preview exactly how a card looks at notch size before adding it to your dashboard, as shown in the screenshot.
I’m genuinely open to criticism, good or bad, that’s how the product gets better. But feedback should come from actually using the product. Given that you haven’t, and the review ends by recommending an alternative, i can't help but think this simply an attempt to promote the product in alternative.
If you do actually give TinyKPI a try, I’d genuinely be happy to hear what you think.
