Hi, Product Hunt community! When Matt and I attended our first NFT NYC conference we heard one word over and over – Utility. After getting into some parties that were exclusively for NFT holders, we realized that NFT-as-guest-list could be applied generally to grant access to any digital content via the ownership of an NFT. This was the Utility we had heard so much about. There was only one problem: It was hard to build Utility into smart contacts, and it made more sense to build this into a more familiar web interface. Furthermore many people wanted an onramp to Web3 but still had businesses built with credit cards. Luckily, we had been working on Monetized, a no code content gating tool that provides an easy interface for paywalling content. We built Token Gater 🐊 as a Web3 interface for Monetized and never looked back. Besides granting access to content, the Monetized interface collects emails so you have another way to get in touch with your token holders, something that is often lacking with NFT sales. You can use the link redirect feature to set up NFT login for your project. We built in methods to grow and stay in contact with your community.

A neat feature you might consider, could be the inclusion of a tiered membership that would allow content creators to offer different levels of exclusivity based on the type or number of tokens held. @manmohit - Thank you for your feedback! That's a great idea. Currently we allow you to set a minimum number of tokens for access. You could build a tiered system by creating different gates for each type or number of tokens required. A more manual way to do it, though, so I take your point!

@goyashy Good questions on the 🐊. It's a platform that essentially paywalls whatever you want, only allowing access to the content if your wallet holds a NFT. However when you create the payment gated page you have the option to gate with another method besides NFT, for instance paying via a credit card, or minting an NFT on site, or pay by giving your email, or a pre-shared code...lots of options...and it's these options that ease the transition to Web3. Give it a try and let us know.
