I get the idea behind this but I'm not sure what makes it different from things like Habitica and Forest, we already have plenty of "motivational" apps, how is this gonna stand out 🤷♀️
@archintdesign Hi Tristan! I totally get it. I personally love these two apps too, but at Tomo Cafe, we want to differentiate from other productivity apps. We want our users to create a deeper connection with our carefully crafted characters who grow with them, support them, and even share their own stories.
We spent lots of time writing the stories of every character, just so they feel like more than avatars, but real friends who understand your struggles and celebrate your progress, making the journey feel less like a solo mission and more like a shared adventure.
For example, our first character Emi is a small, gentle girl on the surface, but deep down she’s a hyper-independent individual and practices Jiu-Jitsu. Her story revolves around why she chose Jiu-Jitsu as a way to protect her inner child, and how meeting ‘the user’ helps her learn to trust others again.
The way we craft the storytelling experience is still very early, but we wish to show you the best experience in the next iteration.

Hey Wendi, while I get the idea of a study cafe with RPG elements, isn't the whole vibe a bit too niche, also what if someone isn't into Anime, would they still find it useful, maybe think about adding more diverse themes or functions weekly, you know, to keep it fresh and appealing to a broader audience

This new app seems cool for productivity but I'm wondering if it's just another digital distraction, given all the elements, how do you make sure users stay focused on their tasks and not get lost in the stories, also what are the plans for expanding storylines or adding new characters in future updates, just curious

Hey Wendi, nice app idea but I'm kinda wondering if blending productivity with anime just turns work into another distraction, I get the storytelling could be motivational but does it really help ppl focus better or is it just another shiny thing to look at

Anime-style productivity sounds fun but relying on AI to tackle procrastination might just be another way to ignore actual issues, hope this app doesn’t end up being more of a distraction than a solution 👀

Hey Wendi, interesting app, though combining productivity with RPG elements might be too distracting for some, have you thought about adding features to limit certain interactions or focus on more traditional productivity tools, also how's the team handling privacy concerns with user data, would be great to see more transparency on that
