ToneBird is an AI reply assistant for Mac and Windows. It remembers your relationships, uses conversation history and connected files, and drafts replies in your voice inside Gmail, Slack, and other supported apps. You review and send.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Lyn, GTM & PMM at ToneBird. We’re excited to share ToneBird, an AI reply assistant for something small that comes up every day: figuring out what to say back.
Working on a launch means keeping a lot of conversations moving. A partner checking a deadline. A creator waiting for an answer. A teammate asking what changed.
Even a short reply can take work before you type anything: finding the last conversation, remembering what you promised, and deciding how to say it without sounding too blunt or too formal.
Taking that conversation to ChatGPT means explaining the whole situation again, then bringing the answer back. All that for a message that might only be two lines.
Those little moments add up.
That’s why we built ToneBird, and why we’re happy to finally put it in your hands.
Here’s how it helps:
• Remembers the relationship. Who you’re talking to, what you’ve promised, and where you left off.
• Brings the context. Uses past conversations and connected files to help draft your next reply.
• Keeps your voice. Adjusts the wording for the person and situation, so it still sounds like you.
• Fits into your day. Works inside apps like Slack, iMessage, and more. You pick a draft, edit it, and decide what to send.
Getting here took three launch postponements, late-night builds, and lots of user calls. We kept listening and making changes, and we’d love for you to help shape what comes next.

If something feels off, leave a comment or email us at tonebirdmkt@amplift.ai. We’ll read your feedback and reply personally, with a little help from ToneBird ;)
I’ll be here all day, so ask me anything: how it works, what we learned from user calls, or what we’re still figuring out. Happy to chat 🐦
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Piper, one of the engineers behind ToneBird.
Quick poll: how many times this week has your boss, your mom, or your partner asked you — "Did you see my message?"
ToneBird exists so you hear that a lot less 😌
Replying to messages usually goes like this: Type three lines → too blunt, delete Type two more → too needy, delete 20 minutes later → "Sounds good! 👍" Them: …that's it?
ToneBird writes the first draft for you, and it refuses to sound like a robot: 🙅 It won't open a message to your teammate with "I hope this message finds you well" 🙅 It won't reply to a client with "lol ok babe" 🙆 It remembers that thing you casually promised last week (you forgot. they didn't.)
The part I'm proudest of is that it gets relationships: 👥 Every person gets their own tone. Your best friend, your boss and your landlord don't get the same message. 🧠 It remembers the context around each person, so you're not starting from zero every time. 📬 It keeps track of who's still waiting on you, so nobody quietly falls through the cracks.
It's fast enough that the draft is already in your input box before you start overthinking. Tweak a word or just hit send. Nobody has to know 🤫
Works with Slack, Gmail, WeChat, iMessage and X, on Mac and Windows. Your conversations are never used to train models.
If it ever writes something you'd never say in a million years, send me a screenshot. I'll teach it better 🔧
I'm here all day and I'll reply to every comment. Building ToneBird and then leaving you on read would be a bad look 🙌

I've been using it for nearly a week, and I think it's the best product I've used in the past six months!
How does ToneBird handle a contact who is both an investor and a customer? Curious whether the wording follows the current conversation or a fixed relationship label.
@qiwap Heyy QIQI, good question! ToneBird looks at the conversation and what it remembers about the person. So if someone’s both an investor and a customer, the idea is to match the reply to what you’re talking about at that moment.

Glad the final send stays with the user. I'd want help wording a difficult investor update, with a chance to check every sentence before it goes out.

@fayann Ahh thank you, FaFa! 🥹 So happy ToneBird has been useful this past week. What kind of replies have you been using it for most?
