Chrome Web Store search buries new extensions. TopExtensions changes that with pay-to-rank visibility. Pick your category, name your price ($1 min), and instantly take your spot on the leaderboard. Outbid the creator above you to claim #1. No black-box algorithms, fake reviews, or SEO games—just instant, transparent discovery for indie makers. Claim your rank: https://www.topextension.lol/
Quick update for everyone checking out the launch today based on early feedback from founders, we just lowered the entry threshold to $1 minimum.
If you have a Chrome extension buried in the CWS algorithm, you can now claim your spot on the leaderboard for literally $1. Keep the feedback coming! topextension.lol
Let s be honest: discovering new Chrome extensions on the official Web Store is a nightmare for indie developers. You re either competing with Google-backed behemoths, gaming a black-box algorithm, or begging for reviews that users rarely leave.
So we built TopExtension (inspired by outbid.lol).
Launching around 1 PM Bangladesh time (12:01 AM PT). If you had questions from earlier this week, still happy to answer them here and if you've got a Chrome extension sitting with zero visibility, today's the day to try it out.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built TopExtension.lol after noticing how hard it is for a solo-built Chrome extension to get any visibility — the Chrome Web Store's own ranking buries anything without an existing pile of reviews, and there's no honest way to just... pay for a spot and be done with it.
So I built exactly that. It's inspired by outbid.lol, but for Chrome extensions specifically: pick your extension, name a price, and if it's more than whoever's currently above you, you take their rank instantly. No reviews needed, no algorithm to game — just a transparent public price.
Minimum bid is $1, so anyone can try it out cheap just to see how it works. Would love your feedback, and if you've got a Chrome extension sitting there with zero visibility — this is exactly for you. 🙂
Congrats on the launch @ayeshabuilds 👏 Interesting approach. What made you choose bidding as the ranking mechanic, and do you see this becoming a serious discovery channel for Chrome extensions over time?

@rizzykicks Appreciate it! 🚀
Honest answer CWS discovery is a black box that heavily favors legacy players and review manipulators. Bidding strips away the BS—it's 100% transparent about what visibility costs, and for indie devs, a quick $2–$10 shortcut beats waiting months for an algorithm to notice you.
As for a serious discovery channel? Absolutely. High intent, zero filler. If you're building a niche extension, you don't need millions of eyeballs—just the ones, and transparent leaderboards deliver exactly that.
