Seems like the challenge will be getting your contacts to join, unless skype and hangout contacts be ported in?

Some limitations (lack of group chat, buggy, etc.), but IMO Tox is a much bigger deal than people here are making it out to be. It has ramifications that span far beyond simply messaging...
@itsthisjustin After FB bought whatsapp, Telegram came out as an "independent" alternative and skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Basically was a more secure, not-facebook-owned, chat client.
Overcame the network effects problem a typical chat client would face by properly positioning/marketing itself and being at the right place at the right time.
