I built Trace after realizing that my journal, reminders, photos, and notes about people were all telling different parts of the same story.
Trace brings memories, people, to-dos, goals, birthdays, and anniversaries into one private timeline. It works offline or through your own iCloud, and supports English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Before launch, I d love to hear from the Product Hunt community: what would make a private life app useful enough that you d still want it five years from now? Effortless capture, better resurfacing, stronger privacy or something else?
I also have 30 six-month Pro codes for early testers. If you d like one, leave a comment no upvote required.
Love how everything stays in one private timeline, the offline-first approach is a big plus for me. One thing I'd love to see is a quick way to link entries to specific contacts in the People section, like tapping a name to filter all journals, to-dos, and memories tied to them. Would make revisiting moments with someone so much easier.
Love that it pulls everything into one timeline and stays offline by default. The On This Day feature caught me scrolling longer than I expected.
