Transactionel.dev - the ultimate relief for developers tired of tedious PDF generation. Combine the power of Mailgun, VS Code, TailwindCss, Google Fonts and Chromium to effortlessly create, manage, and distribute stunning PDFs.
Hey Product Hunters 👋
I'm Kevin, a solopreneur from Nice in the south of France. After years of coding in PHP and creating projects that generated thousands of invoices and documents, I often felt frustrated with PDF generation. Hours spent on Stack Overflow and using outdated tools that didn’t support modern CSS (and fonts!) led to a huge waste of time with little value.
Even when I switched to Node.js with Puppeteer, managing it myself wasn't ideal. My value as a developer shouldn't be tied up in this. That's why I created Transactional.dev. It combines the strengths of:
- Mailgun: for transactional templates
- VS Code: for the development experience
- TailwindCSS: for coding at the speed of light
- Google Fonts: one-click typography
- Chromium: for perfect rendering
Effortlessly generate stunning PDFs, manage templates, track stats, and host them on a CDN.
I hope https://transactional.dev/ makes life easier for many developers. Try it out and share your feedback! 🚀
I think it would work perfect if the user can modify the PDF document like placing constants, images and general elements and at the same time get the code generated. That means the user can modify the code to change the UI of the PDF or modify the PDF document by dragging and dropping elements or adding elements to modify the code.
Thank you for this feedback, I think it's a very good idea to speed things up even more and allow the marketing/design teams to modify the documents themselves. This will likely be the direction I take with this product.

This is a great idea to generate pdf using handlebars utilizing the power of html, stylesheets and javascript. The use of variables and different types of stylesheets is an added benefit to the user. One thing I missed is download feature. It would be great if there is a feature to download the pdf.
That looks great, I can't wait to try it. I generate a lot of PDFs and would prefer to use VScode and tailwind. No idea something like this existed!

This is awesome, pdf generation is a massive pain if your app requires it and I've lost days of time getting things to work.
