@ahfarmer Awesome. Would definitely pay for that. Get the point of it, but the gifs are cool enough that everyone I've sent them to has asked what app it was, so it seems to have the "virality" on it's own.
@ahfarmer i'd also add the ability to reuse previous gifs would be cool. Finding myself making little rap-lyric based response gifs with these that would love to reuse.
@ahfarmer Wow, beautiful. Love the homepage, and the UX is very straightforward. Knew what to do immediately.
With iOS8, will you be able to make this a custom keyboard? Taking the image and putting in a text is a *little* clunky.
Just submitted an update with the 'pay to remove promo text' feature - expect that soon!
The next update after that will have the 'ultratext history' feature.
TechCrunch wouldn't have noticed us without Product Hunt. Thanks @rrhoover!
@ahfarmer it's all you, Andrew. You built something people like. I met with @MattHartman, @mayafish, and @bthdonohue yesterday from Betaworks. When I first saw Ultratext I immediately thought, "The Betaworks folks are going to dig this." And I was right. Maybe there's an opportunity to integrate with Giphy.
@rrhoover Wow I took a long time to reply to this. Great that the Betaworks (@MattHartman, @mayafish, and @bthdonohue) people like Ultratext! Me and Jon are big Giphy fans and would love to integrate if we see a way that makes sense. We also have other apps planned that would work well with Giphy...
PS. I love today's GIF list!!! GIF dance party?!!
The type-to-create interface is ideal to quickly send fun and colorful messages to friends/family. You can also easily add photos to the GIF message as well.

Thanks for posting @courtstarr !!! This app is a team effort with http://twitter.com/captainill
If you like the output of the app at all, please download it. The interface is what makes it cool - you can pump out GIFs in < 3 seconds.
Yeah! We are really proud of our camera mode, and the app was designed to work well with non-English languages and emojis as well.
Would love to add a ton of integrations like Whatsapp, Line, Snapchat, etc. But some apps do not have support for these types of things - I'll be taking a closer look at Whatsapp in particular now...
@ahfarmer Well done. I've already sent 10 in the last 30 seconds and I really love the attention to detail (swiping back and forth between words, color randomization, emoji support, etc.). I love it.
