Undulate turns your phone into a breathing coach with 5 handcrafted animated worlds — not generic expanding circles. Each mode maps to a real technique: box breathing (Navy SEALs), 4-7-8 (Dr. Weil), extended exhale, and more. Haptic feedback lets you feel the rhythm without watching your screen. 2 modes free, unlock everything for $4.99. No subscription. No account. No data collected.
Hey Product Hunt! I'm Abhishek, and I built Undulate because I kept having panic attacks and every breathing app I tried wanted $70/year for what's essentially a timer.
Here's what frustrated me: I'd be mid-panic, hands shaking, and I'd open an app only to hit a paywall. Or I'd have to sit through a 10-minute guided meditation when I needed relief NOW.
So I built what I actually needed:
- 60-second sessions, not 10-minute commitments
- Haptic feedback so your phone breathes WITH you (no screen-watching needed during a panic attack)
- 5 unique animated worlds — each one maps to a real technique (box breathing, 4-7-8, extended exhale)
- No account, no tracking, no data collection
I spent months obsessing over the animations. Each mode has its own visual metaphor — dandelion seeds floating away with your exhale, a paper plane gliding through box breathing, a whale diving on the 4-7-8
pattern. They're not decorative; they give your anxious brain something to anchor to.
The business model is simple: 2 modes are completely free (Dandelion + Paper Plane). If you want all 5, it's $4.99. Once. Forever. I'd rather have users who actually breathe than subscribers who forget to
cancel.
I'd love your feedback on:
- Which breathing mode resonates most with you?
- Any techniques you'd want to see added?
- How does the haptic experience feel?
For the PH community: the app is free to try right now. Download it, do one 60-second session, and tell me what you think. That's all I ask.
Thank you for checking it out!
