This is awesome. I just started listening into a call with @borthwick, @matthartman, and @justinspraggins after they shared a link on Twitter. This is an interesting take on the livestreaming, "teleportation" space that Meerkat, Periscope, and Blab are playing in. The obvious, big difference is that Unmute is all about audio, which lowers the barrier to create and join a conversation... video can be nerve-wracking.
I'll start a broadcast later this afternoon.

@josh_jia_chen Yeah I love that idea. Right now if you have a replay in your profile you can swipe left and save to your camera roll but saving to .mp3 Dropbox would be great. @jkemink?
Was just on this call. Does the recording use the live stream or does it aggregate the local audio? I ask because I heard a couple small hiccups in the stream. The local version is obviously always more clear. Great concept!
@allnick I saw you on the call this morning! Thanks for checking us out. The recording uses the live streams of the people currently unmuted. Many times as a listener you might hear a break in the call and that could most likely be attributed to your current wifi/data service. This does not always mean that the live streams are having a break in the current session. You can view this replay in our "Replay" section of the app to hear its quality. Also as a participant/creator of a call you are able to download and save the replay to your phone from your profile. Thanks for reaching out and looking forward to talking soon!

Do users have to download the app to listen? Can a broadcaster tweet out that they're starting to gain followers?
@tommullen a broadcaster/creator can automatically tweet out a link to our webview when the call starts. Anyone with that link can listen to the live call. A link to the replay, if saved, is also available to be shared out as well at the end of a call. Hope you are enjoying the app! Let us know if you have any other questions.

I'm really excited to see how this plays out in the livestreaming / podcasting world. So much more light-weight in terms of needing strong wifi/cellular service, data bandwidth, and looking camera appropriate that makes this a more spur of the moment type of communications app than streaming heavy video.
Coming from the media/investment side it's an awesome fan engagement platform where the artist/influencer/thought-leader can speak to the masses and retain total control of the conversation.
Coming from the sports fan in me, I'm already setting up a fantasy football trash-talking UnMute ala Around the Horn on ESPN.
Great work @justinspraggins. Looking forward.

I just listened to Justin's call with the BetaWorks folk a few minutes ago. Sound quality is amazing and I love the "18 minute" limit. This is a really cool idea and congratulations to you @justinspraggins !
