AI mentor generates individual tutorials in chat and updates skill maps with each question. Find your best career match to your skills and build up blind spots in knowledge.
I have been following the development of the project for some time. I really like the mission and the problems it solves. But I wasn't expecting the addition of such a cool tool as AI mentors at all. It's a gamechanger. The product still needs some tweaking, but it's already providing a lot of benefits and insights.
This is a dream for lifelong learners that may need help focusing their library of knowledge and focusing in on the skillsets that can be comprised for a successful career! The only thing I would note is that even after subscribing, at times the subscribe screen comes up over and over again.
I used it, but couldn't get the promocode to work. And even after my payment went though, the pro-features were not unlocked.
Update: Received full refund and membership from the Unschooler team in 2 hours.
Sorry, we are looking into your issue and of course we will refund your money.
Upd. We refunded your money and started investigating your problem: we didn’t find your account in our system and sent you an email. Please, answer us.

Hey, PH community!
Lena, the co-founder of Unschooler, is here with @kusu_mikhail@semgose@serg_krasakovich@alexander_dovksha@yagolub
We're self-taught in design, programming, and marketing and have all faced the difficult challenge of figuring out what career path suits our skills best and what skill gaps we should close to up the quality of our work.
🔭 Sergey Krasakovich @serg_krasakovich once said:
"Learning should work like TRIZ where there are no teachers, but the function is still performed."
But how to do when people want to ask someone for professional advice every time they face a hurdle? In professional communities, people often don't read previous messages and keep asking the same question because they want answers that solve their specific problem. What if we could train AI in professional communities to provide personalised answers from a collective knowledge of the best?
We have created an ✷AI mentor that answers your questions 24/7, adapts to your current interests, shows new career opportunities, and guides you toward your goal.
✨How it works:
✦ Ask AI mentors whatever you’re curious about and get personalised tutorials based on the chat. The AI generates new insights if you don't know what else to ask. ↓
★ Build up new skills with each new question. The more questions you ask, the more precisely the AI matches your skills with a suitable career and identifies knowledge gaps. Make your account anonymous and keep your tutorials private, or share your profile with colleagues. ↓
✷ Find the best career match to your current skill set and build up the blind spots in your knowledge.
AI-introverted mode:
See your hidden interests in 1 click by testing your interests with YouTube. We match your liked videos with 6 possible specialisations: science / people / tech / info / art / business and help you find your real passion. To receive your first meaningful career recommendations, you need a YouTube account or 10-15 questions.

✷ Shout-out to Open AI GPT for the AI revolution. We are happy to build something with it.
✷ Thanks to Lensa AI for the images of the mentors.
✷ Kudos to Mubert Render for the music.
@rrhoover Oh, I'm sorry :( Unfortunately, we can't provide personalization without sign-in. This is our secret sauce. Without this, it's another GPT generator. Moreover, we can gather YouTube preferences to show hidden interests and match them with a career, and it's impossible to do without sign-in.
Maybe we can set up a demo without sign-in, we will think about it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
@lena_dorogenskaya ahh! I honestly didn't know it was based on YouTube history. Granted, I only spent a brief moment on the landing page (although this is how most people quickly evaluate products, I think).
Yes, good point. We're just experimenting (probably not very successfully) with onboarding and have removed the conventional landing page to show the app from the first visit.
In fact, many things besides Youtube make this AI personal. People send their career goals, and AI aligns generated tutorials with this goal. In addition, interests are used as a domain of learning projects.

Hi @lena_dorogenskaya really enjoyed the video and possibilities of where you could take this across a spectrum of use cases along people's career paths. The AI mentor is fantastic but how that then gets mapped out and into the action plan feels like a real strength in the user flow and experience - I would continue to flex on this.
Question I had from my quick view is that most things feel locked under a paywall after you considered providing more to users to get them interested to improve conversion of becoming a paying user?
One thing I had difficulty with was the connection to YouTube to map my skilling out, this made me feel less credible about the tool as someone who doesn't use YouTube a lot and if so only to watch videos for humour or sport highlights. Are you considering other ways to initially test or benchmark a users skills?
@sandiforward Thank you so much for your review and for giving it a try! It is so precious to hear every concern 🤗
The main business question at our stage is: “Are users willing to pay to solve this problem?”. That is why we decided to hide the core functionally under the paywall. It might be worth starting a free trial for a week from the beginning and removing all messages, but we wanted to give users something for free forever because not all people understand how AI works.
We will think about it later. Maybe we can handle better this annoying paywall.
Regarding YouTube, I understand your concern, but we take into account only those things that are related to different careers. However, we believe that even an interest in sports matters if it helps a person become a sports journalist. 82% of young people study on YouTube, so the analysis of interests on YouTube is pretty close to their behavior patterns.
We will explain it better to make it more reliable.

The vision is really cool, but I have a question: how do you manage to collect and save the data? I mean, is it secure to send the AI so many facts about me?
@alena_grishina Hi Alena, thanks for the great question!
We have done a lot to ensure the safety of our users and protect their data:
1. We do not send any personal data to AI such as email address or name. For AI, this is a question from a person who loves math and music, wants to become a UX designer and designs mobile applications.
2. Any person can change their name and avatar to be anonymous on our system whenever he/she wants. This person can also create a new anonymous Gmail account to make sure the email isn't associated with a real name.
3. We do not share any personal data with third parties.
4. All authentication services are provided and verified by Google, so security is provided by its services.
