I dig the idea. Even though it is similar to having a synced Dropbox folder on your desktop (as some people have pointed out), having the ability to see views in addition to shorter URL's is fantastic.
We've looked into adding a menu bar uploader on Mac for Clyp but haven't pulled the trigger on it. However, seeing this in action definitely makes me want to have one.
Good stuff, thanks for sharing!
@whattheferguson hello Tyson! Clyp is cool! Do you have any API? We're planning to add player for uploaded music files, but maybe we can make a collaboration?
@alta1r We do in fact have an API :) You can access all the docs here: https://clyp.it/api . And I'd love to chat more about working together. Shoot me a tweet or something and we can go from there.
Niice, I also think the best part isn't summed up as menu bar uploading, but the other features you explained in the comments; url shortening and link statistics as added functionality to dropbox. +1
Very cool! As an agency owner, having a way to make file sharing links shorter and "prettier" is a huge help. Unfortunately, we are Google Drive users. Let us know if you build a tool in the future for G Drive.
@laurenlperfors hello, Lauren! Thanks for feedback and support! We planning now something cool for agencies and enterprises, based on Upspace. I'll let you know when we'll be close to launch :)
@vincepegan hello Vince! No, currently all files will be uploaded to Upspace folder inside default Dropbox Apps folder. Do you think, this feature would be usefull?

@alta1r Yes I use a corporate dropbox so creating a new top level folder isn't workable. Also the ability to preview PPT files in the web-view would also be nice!
