I'm Qian Yu (Emma), and I'm thrilled to share UVPeek with you today.
A bit about me: I'm a UX designer with 10+ years of experience at companies like Tencent, Lenovo, and AWS. I've always been obsessed with two things: flawlessly crafted user experiences and skincare.
Why I built this: Every UV app I tried frustrated me with the exact same problem—they show ONE single number for an entire city. That doesn't help me decide if I need sunscreen just to step out onto my balcony, or if sitting by the window in my living room is actually safe. So, I decided to build the tool I wished existed.

- Built on a custom high-precision UV engine (4,400+ lines of code) adhering to WHO/WMO standards.
- 100% on-device image processing algorithms for fast, secure, and offline skin assessment.
- High-contrast, glare-friendly UI—designed specifically to be readable outdoors under direct sunlight.
- Rigorously tested across 20+ Android devices to fight OS fragmentation.
