What benefits does using this have over using Discogs? Realizing that it's obviously possible to use both services, what would draw me to check this service first?
Fun Fact: It's fun I'm the hunter of this, I've been working for the last 5 years (!!!) to the exact same concept, a social marketplace for vinyl record lovers - http://www.needle.me/ - we launched secretly, did well, and then...life happens and the project stopped. Now it's in a coma state.
Kurt has been steadily growing his community of vinyl record collecting for quite a while. Currently, they have over 110K instagram followers! There is a lack of interaction on the Discogs platform. As a vinyl collector myself, I miss the days of crate digging with people who love house music as much as I do. Vinyloftheday brings back that community aspect holding true to what we crave.... that connection. Its more than a place to buy, sell music and that's where the big difference lays.
Congrats to @underkurtverism for launching their app! As a vinyl record collector I know this is something the community was missing. Hope you'll show up here, I have some questions about the project!

Hi guys, thanks for the support. It's the social and interaction part of the platform, and the interface design that sets us apart from the others. Also, we kept all activities within the app, so you won't have to load up another web browser just to do transactions. Our transaction is more upfront, and quicker within the app.
