Hey Product Hunters!
Let's be honest, Loom is amazing. BUT
- $20/month per user?
- Too many features you never gonna use?
- Pointless AI fluff that nobody asked?
We built Vizz! a dead-simple screen recording tool designed for modern teams who don’t want to burn a hole in their budget.
Here’s what makes Vizz stand out:
1. Unlimited team recordings - Unlimited videos for every team member
2. Unlimited workspaces - Collaborate with different teams or clients with ease
3. Bring Your Storage Option - Tech Teams can save upto 90% !!
4. Flat pricing - No per-user BS :P
We listen! As a small startup, we work with our users. Weekly updates, User Experience focused features, and fast support are part of the journey.
Our goal? Be the first recording platform that actually respects your team and your budget.

@oxlac Do you plan to add any lightweight editing or annotation tools or keeping it strictly simple?
@jude_gray Yes! We’re working on simple editing tools at the moment. Stuff like trimming and basic annotations to keep it clean and fast. Not trying to overcomplicate things.
The "Bring Your Own Storage" is a very nice feature. Does this work with any s3 storage provider (e.g. Backblaze B2, Hetzner, etc), or AWS only? Are you still able to access the video files within the app, or do you access it from the s3 provider directly?
@smjburton Hey! Right now it's AWS-only, But support for other S3-compatible providers like Backblaze or Wasabi is definitely on the radar.
And yep, you can still access and play all your videos inside the app like normal, the experience doesn’t change for your team at all. so from your team’s perspective, everything just works like normal(only cheaper! :P)
@oxlac Awesome! Great to hear :)
I love the no fluff approach. It’s not often you find a video tool that skips the gimmicks. Do you allow for custom branding on client facing recordings?
@elias_leo1 Thanks! That’s exactly the goal - no fluff, just get the job done. As for branding, we don’t add any logos or watermarks, so your videos are totally unbranded by default. Curious though, would you want to add your own logo or intro in future? Might be cool to explore.

The Bring Your Own Storage concept is such a breath of fresh air was that choice driven by privacy issues or the needs of your users?
@gracebates Privacy was definitely one part of it, especially for tech teams that already have cloud infra. But honestly, we realized teams shouldn't have to pay inflated SaaS storage bills when they already pay AWS. So we just made that possible.
@oxlac How do you handle latency or buffering when large teams are sharing long HD videos every day? Is there any backend optimization in place?
@reneegunter Uploads happen asynchronously, so the moment you're done recording, you're free to move on. The video keeps uploading quietly behind the scenes. For playback, we use progressive streaming and caching at the edge to make sure things load fast even for longer HD videos. It’s simple, but it works well for most team workflows.
It’s refreshing to see no AI fluff just solid functionality. How do you handle security for team collaboration?
@jude_gray Thanks! For team collaboration, Workspaces are fully permissioned - you invite who you want. Recordings stay private unless shared. we ensure data integrity by preventing any accidental overwrites or deletions and each recording is stored securely and version-safe.
I love the emphasis on speed and scalability. Are there plans to roll out viewer analytics or engagement stats for the videos that are sent out?
@donald_leo Hey! Viewer analytics is already live. You can see exactly who watched your video and when, plus you get notified when someone views it. We’re considering adding more detailed engagement stats next, just waiting to gather more feedback on what kind of data teams actually want.
