Pretty well designed, but unfortunately, it does not show savings for individual items until after you have made the purchase. Also, it seems that when showing your barcode of purchases at the exit, personnel is unqualified to use scanner properly and the scanner has not worked many times. Disappointing.

@palavalli When I used Apple's in store app to scan and buy without interacting with one of their employees, my first thought walking out was "Are they going to tackle me thinking I'm stealing this? How do they know I paid for it?" So I went up the guy at the door who didn't seem to give me a 2nd look and said to him "I just bought this with the app, do I just leave?" and he said Yep! and offered me a bag. Felt very weird. Not sure how they determine who's paid with the app, and who's just walking out the door, but would love to know how.

@palavalli Costco also checks customers and their receipts at the exit. Takes about 5-15 seconds.
