Hi Everyone 👋 Have you ever read a document over and over just to realize you have not understood a single word? Or had to translate it word for word just to make sense of it? Or perhaps received that third call in a day from your parents 🤣, to answer questions they had about a document they received? My journey with WhatLetter began there. Growing up in Iran and then moving to United States, I became the bridge for my parents, helping them navigate both language and nuance in a world that often felt foreign. It taught me the profound challenges many face daily, not just in decoding words, but in understanding intent and meaning. The idea of WhatLetter was birthed and later championed at Craft Venture's HackAIthon. Amongst hundreds of hackers, our initial prototype took the first place that weekend. Although it was a great moment, the real measure of success happened when my parents became the first daily users of the app, after being my inspiration. Their relief and their regained confidence, became my driving force. WhatLetter is not just an app, but a powerful tool that gives confidence and saves time for those dealing with complex documents or language barriers. Congrats on the launch! A great example of solving a real-world problem with AI. I love how you didn’t stop at translation only but took it further to make conversations possible. Is it possible to get answers to a letter in the original language?

@brenkinfa thank you! Would love it if you refer them to WhatLetter! We take data privacy very seriously, hence all the processing for the OCR is done on device and never leaves your phone. So we never store the image data. And as far as the conversations, the data is stored on a secure database where we cannot view them and only sent to openAI for the ai responses.
