On September 30, 2026 I accidentally signed up for a Windsor.ai Basic monthly subscription while trying to do a one-off Meta Ads check. I thought I was starting a free trial, but I was charged $23. I never used it for any real work and cancelled within about a day. Windsor's "sorry to see you go" email arrived on October 1.
On October 2 I emailed support and asked for a one-time goodwill refund. I said up front that I knew their policy says sales are final. I was only asking for an exception for an unused purchase I'd cancelled almost right away.
My email went all the way up to Windsor's COO, who forwarded it to support and was copied on their reply. On October 4 support confirmed the cancellation but turned down the refund: "Subscription purchases are final, and an accidental purchase or limited use of the service does not make the completed charge eligible for a refund." I replied that I could either dispute the charge with my card issuer or they could refund it. Support wrote back that "we respect your right to do so" and that "the refund decision is final."
It's a small amount. What bothers me is that the COO saw an honest mistake, fixed within a day, and still nobody would make it right. If you try Windsor.ai, make sure you know whether you're starting a trial or a paid plan, because there are no refunds even when you cancel right away.
