We decided to come up with this resource because as a startup mentor, I way too often get this question “Can you recommend a book or a website where I can read about X”?
And I don’t know what to say. Most books that I know of, are either horribly outdated or written based on VC-backed startups' experience. And it makes total sense — they are the ones that talk to reporters and researchers.
The web resources I know have another problem — most are so obviously SEO-focused that they provide zero value. The only goal for their existence is to make you click on their link.
Besides, very few resources offer a holistic approach. Aside from maybe Twitter and Indie Hackers 😅 So, WizenGuides is basically distilled knowledge of indie founders founders you can follow on Twitter and IH. We talk to them and put their experiences into actionable guides.
So that you could guess less and ship more.
Amazing resource - will definitely be a go-to for many startup teams! Is the content of this guide specific to a certain geography of team, or largely applicable to all?
@aishwarya_singh03 largely applicable to all, that's the goal at least. If you find something that wouldn't work where you live, I'd love to know about it so that we can update the guides. Where in the world is your team based?
That sounds amazing. My team is based out of India and Singapore - but would love to capture if there are any geographic considerations eg: setting up a newsletter for US market vs for Singapore market
