This looks very promising. Installing on personal profile and testing for a few days before I install it for work. Edit: Welp, this didn't take long. The extension does not honor the blacklist for 'localhost' :/ @realworldbrain

I think the is the first of it's kind. I've yet to find a Chrome extension that I can "google search" my history and bookmarks urls.

@antflore5 Hello Anthony! What do you understand with Google Search your history and bookmark urls? If you mean search in all of the content of all your pages in your history and bookmarks, then this tool is exactly what you are looking for :)

I'm hopeless at organising my bookmarks. For me they're more a long term thing. So for research I'm doing e.g. this week, I have tried various bookmark/tab organising tools, all of which need me to remember to click on something. But Memex just gets out of the way and lets me work in my normal chaotic manner.

Pros:

Saves so much time in searching for stuff I've already seen

Cons:

Can take a while to index if you have a large history & bookmarks -- but after that it's lightning fast.

@lukebabell Sorry for the late reply. I am currently At FOSDEM conference. For now, fetching provides more features (and its really great). Apart from what fetching.io delivers, our software is and will be better in the following ways: - We always will be free and open-source - We will always leave you in full control over data. Nothing is hosted in a cloud provided by us. - You will soon also be able to search through more than just history&bookmarks, but through the apps you organise your knowledge as well (Evernote, Google Drive/Docs, Email, Messengers) - We essentially aim to give you the ability to augment how your brain makes associations in your web research, allowing you to store and recall various associations ("I visited the page in a session where I visited another one", " I stored the page in Evernote as well", "I sent a page that was about climate change in an email to Tom")
