As a designer I spend a lot of my time in Figma. Grabbing copy from around the web and pasting it into the app (be it lorem ipsum or actual copy) is super time consuming. After toying around with the ChatGPT demo I realized a generative copy plugin within Figma would speed up my workflow A LOT.
@nhuesmann and I spun up a prototype in early December to gauge interest and after the huge response we sprinted to get Scribe AI live on the Figma plugin store. Happy to share the live plugin with you all today!

I’m Nathan, co-creator and developer of Writer. Though I’m not a designer, I spend a good amount of time in Figma when building products. When @soren_iverson pitched me the idea for Writer, I instantly saw the potential for vastly speeding up designer workflows. We shipped the Writer beta a week later and have been improving it since.

Finally I can stop toggling between Screens and stay in Figma !!! Also Loving the branding and direction for Writer! Impressed that the team is also already working on V2 updates to this already amazing product. Game changer and looking forward to adding Writer to my design toolbox. Great Job Soren & Nathan 🔥
@jsteneros hey Johan, thanks for the kind words. Nathan and I are currently working on V2 of the Figma version of Writer. No plans for Sketch as of right now.
