Yado is an iOS app that lets you use Claude Code and Codex from your phone, without keeping your laptop on. You start a task, lock your phone, and get notified when it’s done. You get a remote machine allocated to you, log in to Claude or Codex, and you’re coding with AI from your phone. It comes with both a chat, and a terminal interface as well as live previews to test changes before shipping. And the best part: it works with your own Claude or ChatGPT plan and usage limits.
Hey, I’m Mehdi. Married, father of 1 (soon 2), I’m aiming at being the best husband and father I can be.
I’m building apps and trying to live off them, but my time in front of a laptop is scarce.
Do I give up on my dreams, sacrifice my family? I instead built the thing that means I don’t have to give up either.
That’s how Yado was born.
I use it whenever I’m out. You know how people pick up their phone to reply to a text message during a family event? I send a quick prompt instead, usually just approving a plan my Claude/Codex came up with, then lock my phone and pick it up an hour later.
Two things upfront: you bring your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription, Yado doesn't resell AI, you use the plan you already pay for. And Yado itself is $19/month with a 7-day free trial.
What would you have built in the past few weeks if you could bring ideas to life right where you are, be it at the supermarket, a birthday party or on the beach?

@mehdi_gatbache Congrats on shipping.. since Yado allocates a remote cloud environment, does the container stay warm in the background while the phone is locked, or does it hibernate after a set time?
@vikramp7470 thanks! as long as a Claude or Codex task is running, it stays up. Once your agent is done, the container goes idle, and wakes in 2-3sec so you don’t even realize it’s been idle!
