@shaunscdmx What happens when the person learns it was an AI they were talking to and not you? I think some people would be very annoyed that they were lied to.

@killedbyapixel We never want thise clones to be used to trick people. In the chat page we make ti very clear that you are chatting with "Shaun's Clone". Here's an example
@shaunscdmx Hey Shaun. This reminds me of an episode from Black Mirror! Where do you get information about people I’ve never met? Public web, email headers, calendar invites, LinkedIn, contact lists, meeting transcripts, CRM imports? Which sources are opt-in vs automatically ingested?
@shaunscdmx Hi Shaun - that opening story is strong. The idea of your clone carrying conversations forward while you sleep is both powerful and a little surreal.
The memory layer is what makes this interesting, not just content responses but continuity.
I’m building Ahsk, a macOS AI assistant focused on seamless AI in daily workflows. Would love to connect
The concept of cloning a real person's personality is interesting, but the hard part isn't capturing what someone says. It's capturing how they think when faced with something they've never said before. Most personality replication I've seen in AI companion platforms works fine for surface-level conversation but breaks down when the topic goes off-script.
The persistent memory across visitors is smart though. That's something most companion platforms struggle with even for a single user, let alone scaling it across many people talking to the same clone simultaneously.
How do you handle cases where the clone gets asked something the original person has never addressed? Does it extrapolate from existing content or flag uncertainty?

This is wild! 🤯 Loving the idea of an AI that actually remembers and talks like you.
