We had a standard pricing page with three plans a huge comparison matrix and a long FAQ section. Talk stayed stuck at under 2% for months.

I temporarily stripped it all down to a single plan and a clear sign up button just to see what would happen. Surprisingly conversions almost doubled to 3.4% and stayed there.

It made me think that maybe giving users too many options just creates unnecessary friction.

There is a strange paradox with productivity software: we spend hours migrating notes or task lists to a new platform just to get a temporary wave of motivation.

The issue is that the setup process itself feels productive, but after a fortnight the novelty fades and you're back to the exact same workload. Unless an existing tool has a severe performance bottleneck switching usually creates more friction than real value.

I understand that hunting has traditionally been seen as a man's thing.
