Building tools for clearer thinking

About

I’m a designer, engineer, and founder building products that help people think more clearly. My work sits at the intersection of design, technology, and public sensemaking, with a focus on transparency, legibility, and tools that give people a better basis on which to form their own view. I’m currently building lucid.report - a media intelligence platform designed to help people compare how the same story is reported across sources, understand patterns in framing, and navigate the news with more context and less noise.

Building lucid.report taught me that information alone doesn't create understanding

Hey Product Hunt, I m Dan.

I m a product designer and engineer from Noosa, Australia, and over the years my work has sat across technology, media, and design. More recently, I ve been building Lucid, a transparency-oriented news platform designed to help people compare coverage, identify bias patterns, and make better-informed decisions.

What the work has taught me is that the problem is rarely a lack of information.

Most people are not starved of content. They are navigating what I once described as carefully shaped slices of reality where headlines, ranking systems, editorial incentives, repetition, and platform mechanics all influence what reaches us before we ve had a chance to make sense of it ourselves. That idea became the basis for The Architecture of Attention.

Why is it still so hard to see the full picture of a news story?

One thing that kept bothering me about the way we consume news online is that we rarely see a story in context.

Most interfaces present one article at a time, even though the reality is that every story exists as a field of coverage. Different outlets emphasise different facts, tone, and framing.

When you read coverage across multiple publishers, you start to notice patterns:

We're launching our AI agents for product demos on March, 12 — and this time we're going for #1

Hey Product Hunt We're launching Naoma an AI demo agent that runs live, personalized product demos on your website, 24/7.Some of you might remember us. Our previous product a sales analytics platform hit #2 Product of the Day. We're grateful for that. But since then, we pivoted hard.A buyer lands on your site, hits "Book a Demo," gets a Calendly link for 5 days out. By the time the call happens, they've looked at two competitors and half-forgotten why they filled out the form. Naoma closes that gap instantly a live AI agent runs the demo on the spot, qualifies the lead, and routes the right prospects to sales or checkout. After a pre-seed round and first pilots we're seeing 10 20% of visitors who see the button actually start an AI demo. Up to 30% of them move to the next steps. In some cases, Naoma has closed deals with zero human involvement. This is a completely new product, a new category, and our biggest bet yet. We're going for #1 tomorrow and we'd love your support.Have you ever dealt with the demo gap problem in your own funnel? How did you handle it? Drop your experience in the comments we read every one.
