Would you trade a better tool for fewer apps?

You use one app for notes and another for tasks. A new workspace offers both, with one bill and no copying between them. But its task view is weaker than the tool you already know.

Keeping specialist tools means extra logins and connections to maintain. Moving everything into one place means accepting whatever that app does less well.

Why do feature requests from churning users usually lead you down the wrong path?

When churn started ticking up, our immediate reflex was to poll canceling users and build whatever feature they asked for next. Unsurprisingly, it didn t move the retention needle at all.

They weren't leaving because of a missing button; they a missing button they were leaving the core loop felt like extra homework on top of their existing stack.
