Building Pulse for sales managers

About

I’m Marc, a former sales manager building Pulse for B2B sales teams. I believe good management goes beyond reviewing numbers and asking people to do more next month. It means understanding what holds each salesperson back, providing practical coaching and following through. I’m building Pulse to help busy managers put that approach into practice, from spotting performance gaps to preparing weekly reviews and tracking commitments. Starting with French B2B teams of 5 to 20 salespeople, I’m focused on building a useful product and a sustainable business. Happy to connect with sales leaders, fellow founders and potential partners who share an interest in helping teams perform better.

Free trials: enough time to see value, or enough time to procrastinate?

I m deciding how long a free trial should last, and I keep coming back to how often someone actually needs the product.

Seven days can mean seven chances to get value from a daily tool. For something used in a weekly meeting, it might mean just one.

My background is in sales management. When you agree on a coaching action with someone, the value doesn t end with that conversation. You need to follow up the next week and see whether anything changed.

That s why I m leaning toward 30 days for the product I m building. It gives people a chance to experience several weekly cycles.

How do you follow up on commitments after a weekly sales meeting?

When I managed sales teams, weekly reviews could easily become a round of numbers followed by we need to do better next week.

The harder part was agreeing on useful actions, providing coaching and following up while dealing with everything else during the week.

For founders managing their first sales hires and experienced sales managers alike, how do you keep those commitments visible between meetings?

Do you use your CRM, a shared document or a separate coaching tracker? What has actually stuck with your team?
