The ugliest automation that saved my sanity this month

I used to waste an entire afternoon every single month jumping across multiple dashboards just to download billing statements. I finally wrote a background job to handle it all automatically. It s completely unglamorous and breaks the second a website updates its login button, but it gets the job done without human panic. Did you build any low-key scripts lately that saved you from a boring monthly routine?

Utility vs daily habit Which one actually keeps a startup alive?

Solving a real problem isn't always enough if the user has to consciously remember to log in every time.

We had a tool that worked brilliantly on paper but because it wasn't tied to a daily trigger people completely forgot about it after a few days.

How do you cross the line from a useful utility app into something people open every single day without thinking?

How do you separate one off angry cancellation comments from real product bugs?

When someone cancels their subscription, their exit survey feedback is usually written out of pure frustration which makes it really hard to figure out what went wrong. Half the time people complain about a feature just because they couldn't figure out where the button was on day one not because the feature itself is broken. I've wasted weeks redesigning things based on noisy complaints that didn't actually matter.

How do you filter out the emotional feedback from the actual workflow gaps when planning your next quarter?
