I feel this deeply. I use AI tools every day and honestly, I rarely visit docs anymore. It saves me time but I never think about who maintains the tools behind the scenes. If those projects fade away, my workflow collapses. I'm benefiting now but I'm not sure I'm sustaining what I rely on.
Vibe coding is thriving. The tools powering it are quietly dying.

I needed to read this today. I keep wanting people to "understand" my product but you're right, nobody's looking for explanations while scrolling. They're looking to feel seen. Big mindset shift and you explained it perfectly.

A side project becomes real for me when I start saying "no" to other things because of it. That tradeoff forces honesty. If it deserves that sacrifice, I commit. If not, I loosen my grip.
At what point does a side project stop being โjust a side projectโ?
