I am a Korean solo developer in Seoul

About

I’m a solo developer based in Seoul, South Korea, developing for iOS and Android. I’m a Vibe Coder, and before that, I spent over 10 years crafting handmade shoes. Now, I’m very interested in distributing and marketing apps after they’re released.

How to do marketing in such a industry where traditional vendors and methods are used ?

I have been working in event tech industry where people can plan their event , book vendors and make a full plan and ecosystem for events across whole year with all the things needed embedded in a single platform .
The pain point is that this industry runs through too much word of mouth and traditional ways , people call their fixed vendors and they handle that .
So how to do affective marketing in such case with better results and good ROI?

What actually moves distribution in the first weeks after shipping? Two-week observation

Following up on the first post in this series and the thread it kicked off on app distribution. I ran a two-week observation on organic distribution and want to bring the results back for discussion, not conclusions. Translation tool was used again, so please read past awkward phrasing.

The reason I am posting again : the same question that came up last time is still open for me, and I now have two weeks of data that only made it sharper. I would rather test my reading against yours than sit on it.

My extremely personal Vibe Code diary

Hello, fellow Vibe Coders. I am a new Vibe Coder who left the handmade shoe industry in Korea to embark on a startup journey. I d like to share a record of the past two months or so.

As I am Korean, I am using Google Translate to generate the English text for each paragraph; I ask for your understanding.

1. In the two-plus months since I started using Claude Code, I have built nine simple apps; I released three of them on iOS and five on Android. This count includes projects I abandoned midway because they became too difficult.

2. The total number of downloads is just over 200, and I ve generated one paid subscription and $15 in AdMob revenue. These are the results from June through July. I hope this post will serve as a record of my early, modest beginnings.
