Because of the new macOS updates like "Tahoe," apps may revert to an older state, trigger security warnings as "damaged," or show as not signed by a verified developer. This is usually due to Apple’s tightened Gatekeeper security requirements in new macOS versions, which can misinterpret older app states or invalid signatures as corrupted or unsafe, requiring the app to be moved to the Trash....

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m the maker of TrayPong — a tiny version of Pong that lives in your macOS menu bar. I built this because I wanted something instant—no app switching, no friction. Just click, play for a minute, and get back to work. A couple fun details: The music is fully procedural (built with Web Audio API — no audio files!) The AI adapts as your rally grows It runs at 60fps with little...

How are you promoting on Product Hunt? I keep getting rejected for just telling my followers thank you. Ain't self-promoting prohibited?

A quick update for our Netwoke followers on Product Hunt 🙏 First, thank you. 56 people who care about what their Mac is doing online. That means everything to an indie developer building this alone. I want to share something that happened last week that made me proud of what Netwoke is becoming. Several of you have been downloading and trying products right here on Product Hunt. And Netwoke...

After trying the app, I found it quite confusing and difficult to navigate. I’m not sure if there was any onboarding, and if there was, it wasn’t clear enough to guide me through how the app is supposed to be used. I also noticed something concerning—while using your app, another tool I use (Netwoke) flagged a process called “runner”, making connections from my system. From what I understand,...

The experience was quite confusing from the start—I’m not even sure if there was a proper onboarding. The UI feels overwhelming, and it’s hard to understand what I’m supposed to be doing or how the app is useful. Navigation is also an issue; I couldn’t find a clear way to get back to the previous screen and ended up closing the app entirely. Overall, the usability and flow need significant...

Right now, while you're reading this, your Mac is making connections you never asked for. Background processes phoning home. Apps syncing data you didn't approve. Unknown servers in countries you've never heard of. Netwoke is the ultimate macOS privacy tool that shows exactly what your computer is doing online. Monitor network connections, understand data flows, and protect your privacy with AI-powered insights. No technical knowledge required.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 If you’re into macOS and care about privacy, I think you might like what I’ve been working on. I’m not a company or a team — just one person who got frustrated with the current options and decided to build something that felt right. I care a lot about software that respects the user, both in how it works and how it communicates what’s going on. Tools like Little Snitch are...

Nice concept sounds interesting. I did run into a couple issues though: the sign-in page seems to be broken, and the “Start for $20” button in the navbar isn’t working either. It might also help to include a quick example or demo so people can better understand how it works before committing. Probably worth fixing those things before pushing subscriptions. Hope that’s helpful, Manish Kumar.

Nice traction on X, 200k is solid. From what I’ve seen, X is great for reach and fast feedback, but LinkedIn tends to convert better if your audience is more business-focused. It’s slower, but the engagement can be more intentional. Might be worth repackaging the same idea slightly differently for LinkedIn and seeing how it performs. Different vibe, different audience.

Your Mac is doing more than you think… I’m building a way to see it
Hey everyone 👋 I’m Elvis. I’ve got a background in computer science and systems integration, and I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to know what’s actually going on under the hood. Lately I’ve been building for macOS, mostly around privacy and network visibility. I wasn’t really happy with what’s out there, so I decided to build something that felt better. Tools like Little Snitch...

That’s awesome, congrats 🎉 well deserved. People like you really make a difference during launches. I’m actually getting ready to launch something I’ve been building around Mac privacy and network visibility, so I might take you up on that support soon 🙂

I think the way you described it is actually pretty close to how I look at it too. For me it comes down to this: the free version should be genuinely useful on its own, not just a teaser. Someone should be able to use it and get real value without feeling forced to upgrade. The paid side is where you go deeper more control, more power, more customization, or anything that saves serious time....

I think it’s probably going to end up somewhere in the middle. Silent recording might become more common technically, but there’s still a trust factor in business conversations that you can’t really ignore. Explicit consent feels a lot more sustainable long term, especially if companies care about relationships and not just data. Otherwise people will just start assuming everything is being...

This looks pretty useful, especially for teams that struggle with churn but don’t have a clear way to connect all their data. Pulling CRM, billing, support, and product usage into one place makes a lot of sense. Curious how accurate the churn predictions are in practice though. Is it more rule-based or does it adapt over time as it learns from the data?

The system wide approach is what makes this actually useful every other captioning tool I've tried requires you to be in their specific app or meeting platform which defeats the purpose entirely. The floating overlay means it works for the random YouTube video, the podcast you're half listening to while working, the phone call on speaker all the cases that dedicated tools miss. Curious how it...

This feels like an inevitable product with the rise of tools like Lovable, Replit, and Cursor. AI can get you 80% of the way to an app, but that last 20% (debugging, architecture fixes, edge cases) is where people get stuck. A marketplace for human fixes for AI-built apps is a clever idea. Curious how you’re ensuring quality control for developers on the platform?

Congrats on the launch! 🚀 A cross-platform directory for AI agent skills feels very needed right now. With so many ecosystems popping up, it’s getting hard to know what’s available where. Having one place to search across 30+ platforms could save a lot of time. Curious how you’re handling the security audits for each listing?

Congrats on the launch! 🎉 The focus on emotion and nuance in TTS is really interesting. A lot of voice models sound technically good but still feel a bit flat, so the idea of capturing rhythm and speaking habits is compelling. Also impressive that voice cloning works with just ~10 seconds of audio. Curious how you’re handling consent and voice ownership safeguards as this gets adopted more widely?
