🔍 SEO + GEO: How are you getting discovered?

SEO was about being found on Google.

Now AI is becoming the new discovery layer.

For those thinking about GEO...

What s the biggest change you ve made so far?

Everyone said "GEO" was a fad. We spent a year building for it anyway.

A year ago, half the marketing world told us "AI search" was overhyped. The other half was shipping "ChatGPT SEO checklists" in a week.

We ignored both.

Instead we did one boring thing: we scraped LLM citations. Every day. Across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude. For hundreds of brands. And we asked one question when AI recommends a product, where does that recommendation actually come from?

Here's what we found that nobody was talking about:

Tracking your brand in LLMs

Everyone is hyping up GEO as the new SEO. Honestly? They re just merging.
But hype aside, if you aren't tracking how ChatGPT or Perplexity cite your product, you're flying blind.
What tools are you actually using to monitor your brand's AI visibility right now?

Bing split search into two reports. Google too. The old SEO playbook is officially dead.

July 2026 has been a turning point for search. Two major updates landed within weeks of each other, and they change how visibility works.

1. Google: AI visibility is now part of Search Console

In early July, Google launched generative AI performance reports inside Search Console. The data is now isolated: impressions from AI Overviews, AI Mode, and generative AI in Discover are separated from classic search. For the first time, you can see whether your content is actually being surfaced inside Google's AI answers not just rankings, not just clicks, but presence.

The message is clear: AI visibility is not a separate discipline. It's search visibility. Google put it inside the tool SEOs already use.

Is there a single tool that covers AI visibility + SEO + reputation?

Looking for something that can track, in one dashboard:

  • Brand mentions and citations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overview

  • Keyword rankings and search volume, verified against live Google data

  • Competitor tracking with an actual threat score, not just "similar companies"

  • On-page/technical SEO audits with specific fixes, not vague advice

  • Backlink monitoring, including newly lost links

  • Review and sentiment tracking across platforms

  • A hallucination check, for when an AI says something wrong about the brand

Right now I'm running separate tools for SEO, social listening, and manually checking what ChatGPT says about us. It's slow and nothing talks to anything else.

Has anyone found a platform that does this end to end? Open to both known names and newer tools.

Why most AI writing tools fail at organic traffic?

I ve been testing a lot of AI writing tools lately and keep seeing the same pattern. They generate clean text, but the content rarely ranks or gets any real traffic. It feels like most of them stop at the writing step and ignore everything else that actually moves the needle (research, structure, publishing, indexing, consistency).Curious what others have experienced.Have you managed to get consistent organic traffic from AI-generated content?
What has worked or not worked for you?

What marketing tools are people actually using?

From what I am seeing across communities, here is what the tool stack looks like right now.

The Core Stack

Email & Capture: Mailchimp for launch updates and email sequences . Carrd for quick, clean launch-specific landing pages . Pre-launch tools like LaunchBuddy and Prefundia to build a waitlist and gather early feedback before you even hit the Product Hunt button .

Social & Scheduling: Buffer or Hootsuite to keep a consistent presence across X, LinkedIn, and Threads without it taking over your entire day . Canva for generating graphics that do not look like you threw them together in five minutes .

Do you really need a dashboard? Or do you need someone to tell you what to do?

You have dashboards. Lots of them. Google Search Console. Google Analytics. Your CRM. Your email platform. Your ad manager.

They show you numbers. Rank positions. Traffic volume. Bounce rate. Session duration. Conversion rate. Backlink count. Domain authority.

You spend hours looking at them. You compare numbers that will never match. You try to find the signal in the noise.

Then what?

How do you approach SEO for ChatGPT (AI) purposes?

I won't hide the fact that instead of entering key phrases into Google, I'm now redirected to the GPT Chat and asking complex questions.

Over the past year, ChatGPT has become the 5th most visited website in the world, and most recently, it also recommends products.

Post your product - I’ll help you get recommended by AI for free

Hey, I've been building Doppler, the search console for AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity.

As the title says if you post your product I'll run it through my tool and give you an analysis of how it performs on both ChatGPT & Perplexity as well as some tips to improve your visibility from AI engines so you can get more traffic from it!

AI search is particularly efficient for B2B SMBs / B2C as AI apps will give tailored product recommendations based on the user's context, that's why it's worth optimizing for.

What I’ve Learned Going Deep Into AEO Over the Last Two Months for Meet-Ting

Inspired by Lenny s podcast with Ethan Smith (so good, you need to listen - the advice for builders is insane and can't believe it's free...), I wanted to share a few things I ve been seeing going deep into Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for @Meet-Ting.

I spend a lot of my day in GPT and Gemini, and over the last few months I started getting more curious about how their recommendations are actually pulled from the web. I'm not an expert, listen to the podcast, but I am actively tackling it so have some tactical learnings.

The Ultimate AI Vibe Marketing Arsenal 🚀

the ai marketing space is going crazy right now, but there's this weird gap i keep noticing tools specifically built for "vibe marketing" are all over the place and barely tagged on product hunt. you know what i mean? those ai tools that don't just pump out generic content but actually get your brand's personality and create connections that feel real. after months of obsessively testing everything from ai sales bots to content optimizers, i finally put together a collection of tools that are absolutely crushing this balance between smart algorithms and actual human vibes: https://www.producthunt.com/@pol...

what gets me hyped about this whole category is how these tools are cracking the code on ai marketing's biggest problem: staying authentic while scaling like crazy. we're talking about ai that doesn't just spit out content it creates stuff that actually hits different, builds genuine trust, and gives people those good vibes that turn random visitors into ride-or-die fans. the tools in my collection are the real deal when it comes to this movement, from community platforms that actually understand culture to content creators that read the room and adjust their tone.

why most startup SEO fails (and how we’re solving it)

I've worked with dozens of early-stage teams and saw the same pattern:

they want organic traffic

they publish a few blog posts
