I m not really a person who likes sharing my everyday life online =)That s one of the reasons I m really happy to be part of the Product Hunt community.
I like being able to stay in touch with like-minded people and have everyday conversations about things we re building, learning, and interested in.But I understand that social media is a big part of today s lifestyle, and it s absolutely great that it gives people a way to connect, share, and find each other.
So, I m curious:
Do you have social media as a maker?

I'll start.
Supabase. Found it here three years ago. Thought it was just another backend. Now I can't imagine building without it.
Here's what it does for us at Rankfender:
Auth that doesn't make you crazy. We have users across 120+ countries. Supabase handles sign-ups, logins, password resets, magic links, OAuth with Google and GitHub. It just works. We didn't have to build any of it.

There are products I keep using when launching on Product Hunt -- products that help me craft beautiful assets, plan content distribution, and analyze results.
Here's my personal collection. How about you? What's your stack?

Today, I read in the news that OpenAI is considering "expanding its data footprint" and possibly buying Pinterest, as there is a lot of data on it just for the sake of users finding inspiration (which can be key for purchase decision making and understanding personas Pinterest has 600M+ users).
I also take into account how Pinterest started to resent the proliferation of AI content there users do not like it so much (as far as I know, OpenAI also wants to have its own social network, and Sora curation is a bit reminiscent of that)

it's an iOS photo sharing app that takes you back to when social media was actually about in 2015 ,sharing moments with friends. Before the ads, the algorithms, and the endless video reels took over.
I grew up during the golden era of Instagram, back in 2012 2015, when your feed was just photos from your friends in the order they posted them. No ads interrupting the scroll. No algorithm deciding what you should see. No pressure to make reels or go viral. Just real moments, shared simply. That version of social media made me fall in love with photographyInfotograf gives you a simple chronological feed, beautiful film-inspired filters, and ambient audio captured with every photo so you can hear the moment, not just see it. It connects to the Fediverse through ActivityPub, which means your photos aren't trapped in any one company's ecosystem. You own everything you post.I built the whole thing solo. Your support keeps the servers running and motivate me to keep going.thank you deeply. UPDATE IOS AND ANDROID APPS are ready still early days but it works and it's free iOS: apps.apple.com/app/id6761331537Android (beta): play.google.com/apps/testing/com.infotograf.androidpolicy: infotograf.com/about thanks for reading everyone, nice day.

I am trying to gather tools directly developed for the Product Hunt platform that could possibly help you with the launch. This is what I have gathered so far.
Advanced PH Scrapper extracting data of launches into the charts
Hunted Space calendar & stats for upvotes, comments, upvote speed
Launchgrid something like a database of launches from PH & HN
Launchpedia kits (PH resources)
Product Hunt favourites extension for bookmarking
Product Hunt trending overview of successful launches (ranking)
Product Wars upvotes, comments, speed stats
If you know more, feel free to share.

If you had to make image or video with sound to publish what tools would you use? What type of content do you (or would you) produce with those tools?
Some tools I'm thinking of are
@Sora by OpenAI for video
@Suno.ai for music gen
@ChatGPT by OpenAI for image gen
and maybe something like @ReelFarm for UCG-esque automated content.

Every day, hundreds of products launch on Product Hunt.
And let s be honest most of the time we upvote without really trying them.
Sometimes, though, you actually do try one and it sticks.

I was recently talking with a group of founders, and we went around sharing tools we're using now. Posting my notes for our community here - would love to know what else people are using!

A few days ago, I read a Pinterest report stating that more and more people are searching for topics related to digital detox on the platform.I realised that I have never used this one platform as a marketing channel, there is a huge target audience from the US, and it has around 480 million monthly active users so possibly good for the digital detox app I collaborate with.
Another client wanted to promote on Tinder (tho I wasn't very convinced with such a suggestion as it was not related to the product so much).
